SOPUS Products is currently seeking a Field Based Account Manager – Chicago Area
Responsibilities:
The Field Based Account Manager’s purpose is to maintain existing, and develop new customer relationships and leverage these relationships to grow the volume and margin of their portfolio. This role requires a focus on hunting for new business, while maintaining and expanding existing relationships through the identification of cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
Roles and Delivery Expectations include, but are not limited to the following:
Define and regularly review frequency and content of customer interactions and service commitments as defined in the account sales & marketing plan for existing customers and prospects
Independently identify and qualify prospects and move qualified prospects through a structured sales process
Periodically review existing customer business plans with the goal of identifying mutually beneficial growth opportunities
Leverage marketing programs to maximize the brand value to the customer
Ensure contractual compliance that may require difficult conversations surrounding deviations from contractual agreements
Conduct new customer negotiations, prepare quotations and proposals and agree on all operational requirements (including: price, contract, payment terms and services)
Properly manage internal stakeholders and relationships to ensure follow-through on customer commitments
Ensure that all customer interactions are properly logged and updated in the customer relationship management system
Leverage marketing initiatives with new and existing customers
Work with other Shell teams and third parties (e.g. Key Accounts, Supply Chain, distributors, Marketing, etc.) where necessary to provide efficient and cost effective service to the customer
Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other then current employer
Minimum five years of current experience selling to multiple end user businesses or franchisees
Bachelor’s Degree
Valid Driver’s License
Demonstrated experience developing and negotiating multi-year sales agreements
Proficient with CRM software tools and pipeline management software
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including use of Pivot tables and data management formulas
