We’re currently looking to recruit an Information Management Consultant to join our team in Dubai.
Responsibilities:
As an Information Management Consultant, your main challenge is to achieve a step-change in effective document management, virtual working and knowledge management, and enable compliance with the Group records management standards. You’ll also provide advice and assistance to business staff about processes, best practices, and tools for the management of documents and records throughout their lifecycle and although you’ll have no direct financial authority, you’ll provide services across the Middle East, Caspian and South Asia. Your main accountabilities will be as follows: · Introduce and support document and records management processes and tools · Introduce and support Group records management standards · Introduce and support virtual working tools · Introduce and support knowledge management processes and tools · Rollout and assist with the exploitation of new information management tools · Deliver information management training · Run information management improvement and information handover projects · Implement global information management standards and processes. This role also has the following special challenges: · Ensuring excellent communication and customer relationship skills · Working with staff at different levels in the organisation, from junior staff to senior executives · Coaching and steering Information Management focal points across the organisation · Demonstrating motivation, proactiveness and initiative-taking · Working with and contributing to a global Information Management community. Please also consider that this position is flexiable in terms of location and candidates could also be based in Egypt.
Requirements:
With a combination of personal, business and technical skills, you’ll be flexible, multi-skilled and adaptive, and possess the capacity to learn. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain a network of business contacts. It’s vital that you have good project management skills and the ability to work with and influence a wide range of people from a variety of disciplines. We’d prefer you to have a qualification in an information management discipline, and at least five years’ experience in Exploration & Production with discipline exposure to information management. Candidates with experience of electronic document management systems will be at an advantage, while evidence of Enterprise First values and behaviours will be taken into account during the selection process. You’ll also be skilled at championing customer, change management, project management, delivering results and working in a virtual team.
