Shell’s chemical business operations in the U.S. are performed through Shell Chemical LP, which is one of nearly 70 companies engaged in chemicals businesses for the Shell Group of companies. Shell Chemical LP produces about 9,072 kilotonnes (20 billion pounds) of chemicals annually, which are sold primarily to industrial markets in the United States.
Shell Chemical LP is currently seeking a Projects Administrative Assistant for its Geismar, Louisiana location.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for providing quality projects assistance to your team.
Key Accountabilities: · Project Records Management contact/coordinator · Maintain projects log and folders for each active project · Manage online Project spaces, web pages, and online folders · Work with Project Teams at kickoff to establish Information Management plan. · Develop and maintain tools and methods, collect project metric information (i.e., Start/Close dates, etc.) for each project, and produce quarterly reports. · Support data collection for benchmarking studies. · Management of Change focal point /tracker/administrator · GSAP Support: close work orders and projects in GSAP · Assist Capital Focal Point in preparation of data for budgeting and reporting · Generate quarterly forecast reports of Capital spend · Monitor and follow-up with project engineers project documentation
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have approximately 3 or more years of relevant professional experience.
Additional Requirements: · Strong personal computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Access, GSAP, Windows, Outlook · Understanding of Project Execution processes is preferred · Strong analytical skills · Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task · Ability to continuously learn and adapt to change · Ability to effectively communicate and interact with diverse groups of people · Ability to effectively function and excel in a team environment
