Motiva Enterprises LLC, a joint venture between Shell Oil Company and Saudi Refining Inc., refines, distributes, and markets oil products in the eastern and southern United States. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Motiva refines and markets gasoline more than 7,000 Shell-branded gasoline stations. Company assets include three refineries with a combined capacity of 725,000 barrels per day and ownership interest in 46 refined product storage terminals with an aggregate storage capacity of approximately 19 million barrels. Motiva Enterprises LLC is currently seeking a Reliability Electrical Engineer for its Port Arthur, Texas location.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for the development of new and existing programs that can improve productivity, maintenance skills, technical expertise and reliability of plant people and equipment. Overall job duties include focus on technical support for first line supervisors. Specific activities may include electrical and instrument repairs to BPCS equipment; estimating, scope development and implementation and commissioning for small projects; field assistance with application of plant standards; assist with coordination between vendors, contractors and plant personnel; root cause analysis for failures; after hour support for emergency call outs; address development or improvement needs for routine maintenance procedures. Key Accountabilities: · Improve reliability of electrical and instrument facilities · Provide technical expertise for the refinery control systems (process control systems (Honeywell), PLC Applications (Allen- Bradley), and Safety Systems (Triconex) · Prepare cost estimates, job orders, LOA’s, contracts, etc. · Respond to unit upsets and provides coordination where necessary – Including off hours · Apply Root Cause Failure Analysis for significant events
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and have approximately 3 or more years of experience in the petrochemical industry in the instrument and electrical engineering discipline. Additional Requirements: Proficient English oral and written communications skills Demonstrated capability in working in multi discipline engineering teams Understanding of work processes (ESP, RCM and IPF) Working knowledge of Industry Standards (i.e. NFPA-70E, IEEE, NEC, OSHA, API, EGGS, etc.) Strong and committed team player Ability to operate independently with minimum guidance Ability to prioritize tasks in alignment with Production Team Excellent computer skills utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite In addition to the tasks outlined in this job description, you may be assigned other responsibilities as needed.
