Research, development and the deployment of technology for Shell's global exploration and production businesses is managed by Shell’s technology division of Shell International Exploration and Production (SIEP). Two companies, one based in The Netherlands and the other in the United States, work together to provide a wide range of products and services to Shell companies in the sector. EPT-Solutions is the front-end project delivery organization of Shell International Exploration and Production. The organization embeds 700 technical professionals with more than 20 different nationalities, located in Houston and Rijswijk/Aberdeen. Shell International Exploration and Production Inc. is currently seeking a Reservoir Engineer for its Houston, Texas location. We are currently seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer for its Houston, Texas location.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for performing integrated studies focused on enhanced oil recovery for development teams and Operating Unit (OU) customers in order to maximize the value of ongoing projects worldwide. You will deploy the most appropriate dynamic EOR reservoir modeling techniques in the most efficient way, while maintaining a high level of integration with static modelers and with the project teams or the Operating Units. Key Accountabilities: · Provide (RE) technical input required for EOR development opportunities for the Shell Group · Participate in EOR integrated field development work, being responsible for the reservoir engineering work content and quality in a given study · Understand and apply reservoir simulation techniques (including the related PVT, SCAL and well testing aspects) for a wide range of reservoir engineering and integrated reservoir problems, particularly enhanced oil recovery processes · As a member of the EOR group maintain contact with new technology developments in EPT-R (Research and Development) for EOR through which you may stimulate and initiate implementation of appropriate new technology · You may be asked to give feedback from a project perspective to the R&D teams · Share best practices and coach other reservoir engineers as appropriate
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering and have approximately 10 or more years of experience. You will have experience working on an integrated field team. Exposure and experience in enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques is preferred, but the opportunity exists to grow and expand those skills under the mentorship of subject matter and principal technical experts in various EOR processes for the right motivated individual.
