Shell Canada is currently seeking a planner/scheduler at our Edson operations.
Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position will be the execution of Integrated Activity Planning and Integrated Production Planning (IAP/IPP) activities for the Northern Gas region.
The prime objective of IAP/IPP is to bring together the various functions’ activities into a single plan that is feasible and optimized to reflect business priorities and resource constraints in order to maximize uptime of production facilities and optimize the use of shared resources.
The IAP/IPP planner is a key individual in the planning community and provides visible leadership.
The incumbent is responsible for preparing: - On a monthly basis Short Term Integrated Activity Plans and Short Term Integrated Production Plans for the Complex. Each plan has a 90-Day outlook.
- On a quarterly basis, the IAP/IPP Planner is responsible for preparing a Medium Term IAP/IPP plan for the Complex. Each plan covering a 12-month outlook.
IAP/IPP plan preparation includes: - Acting as a focal point for discussions with all Functional Planners representing functions willing to execute work on an asset
- Combines, integrates and optimizes the multi-Functional Plans within the Asset or Region in order to maximize the Business outcomes (Production and Reserves) within the resource constraints
- To maintain the Asset or Regional Shutdown planning window timings, critical path and other data in the Planning System
- To ensure the quality of Functional data and its compliance with the agreed Plan Entry Criteria (PEC). To take action to address all activity clashes and shortcomings in proposed activity data
- To collate and summarize actual planning performance data in order to analyze and prepare planning performance Key Performance Indicators with supporting remedial actions and to present findings at monthly Planning meetings
- To ensure an effective medium-term, short-term and very short-term planning processes for the Asset and Region
- To coordinate with incumbent planners and schedulers and co-own the system activity planning data on behalf of the Asset and Region
- To liaise with the functional groups to identify production deferment from activities on the Integrated Activity Plans in support of the production optimization process
Requirements:
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Must be willing to work in Edson, AB or surrounding area
- Must have at least a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Must have current, valid Class 5 drivers license or better
- Minimum of 6 years experience in an oil and gas or manufacturing setting
- Experience in a production scheduling role preferred
- Power Engineering or Trade Certification a plus
