This role will be part of this dynamic and growing organisation, and provide significant exposure and accountability for Shell's highest priority business activities.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will work within integrated Shell and Contractor project teams on a number of oil and gas development projects going through the Front End Engineering & Design and Detailed design phases. Your role involves leading one or more of the Process engineering teams assigned to specific Projects, overseeing the performance of experienced individuals and the team as a whole, and co-ordinating internal and external interfaces to deliver robust, integrated solutions. Key to your role will be the need to understand the many process related issues of each Project and to ensure that the process engineering designs accommodate these demands. We will expect you to work independently and alongside the other leaders within the multi-disciplinary Project teams and to be prepared to travel, on occasions, to the Project locations.
Requirements:
Joining an in-house team of Shell and contractor Senior Process Engineers, you'll deliver engineering and design expertise to EP Projects Aberdeen's portfolio of projects. A graduate engineer, preferably with Chartered Engineering status. You should have extensive process engineering experience, preferably in Exploration & Production (EP), and ideally gained in an international oil company or in a contractor or consulting environment. Broad-based EP facilities engineering skills are important and you will have specific skills in the conceptual and detailed design of EP facilities; oil, water and gas process technologies and flow schemes; and pipeline hydraulics, multiphase flow and flow assurance. You should be fully conversant with steady state process and pipeline simulation tools such as HYSYS and PIPESIM with a good working knowledge of reservoir and well engineering. Your outstanding interpersonal and team working skills mean you will be adept at making a contribution to multidisciplinary, integrated teams and you will have the ambition and drive to develop yourself across the full technical, commercial and interpersonal spectrum. English language skills are essential.
